Tuesday (March 3)
1. Outline chapter 18.1
- Do NOT use full sentences.
- Show hierarchy of chapter (hith headings and subheadings.)
- Include key terms (define in your OWN WORDS
2. Describe (in point form) how Linnaeus's system for classification is different than modern system(s).
3. Go to online textbook and find chapter 18.1.
- List all 7 taxons for each of the following animals: squirrel, fox, wolf, panda, grizzly bear - You will need to find this information online.
- from their 7 taxons make a tree to show their relationships
4. Do exercise in online text 18.1 called "Members of the Family Ursidae." Explain your answer in writing.
5. Answer questions #1-6 on last page of chapter 18.1 - in writing. (For the sake of the numbering system in these questions, we will call these questions #5.1, 5.2, 5.3 etc.)
6. Complete 18.1 Enrichment page (print and answer)
Wednesday (March 4)

2. What is "phylogeny?" How does it differ from Linnaeus idea of classification?
3. Do "Quick Lab" in section 18.2 on paper.
4. Complete 18.2 Review page
5. Complete questions #1-#6 on last page of section 18.2 (For the sake of the numbering system in these questions, we will call these questions #5.1, 5.2, 5.3 etc.)
